Michael Ruskin Bio
MICHAEL RUSKIN - SON OF HOLOCAUST SURVIVORS SHINES LIGHT ON A DARK PAST
Author/Publisher Michael Ruskin is on a mission to give the public an inside look at what life was like during the Holocaust. (1933-45). In his best selling book, The Vow: A Love Story and the Holocaust, he shares his parents' tragedies and triumphs based on written testimony his parents gave in 1964 to the German Government for reparations for the loss of their daughter and their family. (The documents can be found at the Holocaust Museum's Library in Washington, D.C. as well as his book).
In his book, he concludes that it was his parents’ special bond for one another, their unshakeable faith in God and their vision for a future that transcended the "darkest" and gave them the will to survive. He goes on to say that his parents exemplified the strength of the human spirit and the power of love, which is in all of us! And that we too can overcome any circumstance or challenge by having faith, courage, and the belief to a positive outcome. "Our Creator made it easy; all the answers are"within".".
Now nearly 80 years after the Holocaust and being the last surviving member of his family, Michael's "mission" is to keep his parents' legacy alive, while educating others about the Holocaust through the eyes of his parents.
